Cell phone users looking for accessible websites

Hello there, it's Alix at the business desk of Untapped Wealth.
Hot off the news wires:  Hundreds of millions of cell phone users are presently unable to find those websites where they can carry out their business using their cell phones.  According to what we are hearing this is so because these users are unable to access websites because of the overwhelming amount of clutter, graphics, and icons that website developers are using these days.  What website developers are oblivious to is that cell phones do not have the capacity to adequately handle graphics and icons and if they hope to attract these hundreds of millions of cell phone users to their websites they willl have to change the way they lay out their websites.
There are over one billion global cell phone users at present and it is estimated that over three hundred million of them use their cell phones on a daily basis.  So, if you are looking for ways to attract the growing number of cell phone users to your website you need to read the August issue of STAE the free online magazine produced by Sterling Creations.  Visit www.sterlingcreations.ca/magazine.html

Score one for the kids

Hey!  I'm Jayna from the Untapped Wealth business desk and I am delighted to share a kids story with you.
Most parents are constantly looking for opportunities for their kids to get involved in business ventures and I have a success story that should galvanize you parents into action.
The other day I read about a young man who is well on his way to becoming a millionaire.  He started his journey to richness while in grade school.  He got the brilliant idea to go around collecting golf balls from a nearby golf club during his summer vacations and he took these golf balls home where he cleaned them and then sold them back to the golf club as used balls.  Soon he had a little business going where he was earning enough money to pay for his own expenses and his parents supported him all the way.
By the time he finished high school he was earning about $20,000 on an annual basis after clearing expenses and by the time he had completed his first year at university his annual earnings had trippled.  That was five years ago and today this young man is well on his way.  He has set up several wearhouses and hired several employees to help him and of course his parents are working right along side him.  He has gained the attention of several sporting chains and retale outlets including Wall Mart and Sport Check.

New trend towards smaller restaurants in small towns

Hi I'm Alix at the Untapped Wealth business desk and I just wanted to report on a new trend.
It seems to be taking hold in small towns across the United States and at the present time Berger King and Wendy's seem to be the leading players in this arena.
They are catering to take out services and both kitchens and seating are smaller.  What this is accomplishing is the reduction in overhead costs with a reduction in the number of employees needed and floor space and they are locating these restaurants in malls.
This may be a good things for smaller towns but I wonder out loud if this trend would take hold in larger cities.  In small towns these smaller establishments may suit the type of customer who is content to rush in for a quick bite and then rush out to do other things.  However,  cunsumers in larger cities may prefer to enjoy their meals in larger restaurants with more roomy seating.  The atmosphere and lifestyle in smaller towns may well be more suited to these types of take out restaurants.

Potential business opportunities awaiting you

I'm Matt from the untappedwealth.com business desk.
I recently read an article that focuses on the boundless opportunities that are being presented by both India and China.  (The crouching tiger and the lurking dragon)
These two countries are fast becoming global economic powers and this is so because their consumers are beginning to demand more and more goods such as electronic products, well made garments and clothing, Western foods, and so on.  The younger generations in these two countries are the ones leading the charge and because of this companies such as IBM, Microsoft, McDonald's, Wall Mart, plus many more are moving quickly to capitalize on this.
If you are a small business or entrepreneur looking for new markets to plunder then this may be the time for you to look at opportunities in India and China.  I happen  to know that translators and language coaches are in big demand so you can visit www.translationpeople.com to learn more.

Diabetic consumers on the rise

Hi there!  I'm Kerry and I am the co-author of Untapped Wealth Discovered.
I have some stats to pass on to you that will prove to you that the number of diabetic consumers is increasing at an alarming rate.
According to the Center for Disease Control (CDC) one in every four American children is overweight and one in every six is actually suffering from obesity. Obesity and overweight are among the leading contributors to diabetes and this trend will continue to plague us for as long as we do nothing about it.
Many health organizations, medical experts, and the United States government are all very concerned about this and they are frantically looking for skilled and interested persons who would be willing to sell the products and services that are being demanded by the rapidly increasing number of diabetics and potential diabetics.  This could be an excellent opportunity for you to get involved and set up a business that could potentially bring you immense personal satisfaction as well as financial rewards.
Think about it.  If you would like to know more then pick up a copy of Untapped Wealth Discovered by clicking on the order link at www.untappedwealth.com written by Jeff N Marquis and me.

Small business idea for a woman

Hello there I'm Heather from the Untapped Wealth business desk and I want to share an idea for those women who are looking for business ideas.
I just finished helping to set up a client in a small town in Virginia and she has started up a preserves business.  She decided to do this after becoming a widow because she found that she needed to fill her time with something to do.
She approached me and after sitting down with her over a cup of coffee we determined that she had a flare for cooking and preserving.  So she and I got to work to develop a business plan to get her business venture on track.  We chose the preserves business for two reasons:  First her interest in using her natural talents, and second the demand from folks in her small town.
She has set up her business in her home because she has enough space for now that she can use to do her cooking and preserving and she has hired two friends to help out.  If all goes to plan she hopes to grow her business and to eventually hire more people and move out of her home to a bigger location.
I will be checking on her in six months time to see how she is doing.
I think that this type of business could work very well for those women who are interested in this type of business but it may work better in a small town.

Is the bottled water market in jeopardy?

Hello, my name is Eric and I'm just visiting the Untapped Wealth business desk.

Just wanted to talk briefly about a little news item that came across the wires yesterday.

Apparently, dentists across North America are beginning to raise concerns about the increase in cavities among their young patients and the deterioration in dental health among their adult patients. They are raising concerns over those millions of bottled water drinkers who are unwittingly damaging their teeth by drinking water that does not contain floroid. The bottled water industry is a billion dollar business and has been growing by leaps and bounds for the last decade.

Now, if dentists are increasing their concerns over the drinking of bottled water should those bottled water manufacturers be worried?

I definitely think so.

Business opportunities for stay at home moms

Hey! I’m Heather at the Untapped Wealth business desk and I recently discovered that there is a growing market for virtual transcribers. More and more companies are looking for transcribers who are willing to work over the Internet. They are saying that virtual transcribers can help to cut their overhead costs in a big way because they don’t have to put out money to set them up at physical locations. Moreover, the virtual transcriber can be located practically anywhere in the world.

Here’s how it works. A company has documents to be transcribed. These documents can be in DSS, WAV, or similar formats. The company uploads these files to their website and the transcriber can download them to their computers and after that it’s a matter of the transcriber transcribing them and emailing them back to the company. Simple! However, the transcriber needs to invest in some necessary equipment in order to get started.

Some companies are also looking for virtual transcribers to transcribe tapes, videos, and cassettes and in this case they are more than willing to courier their packages to the transcriber. After this the transcriber need only transcribe and email back to their clients. I think that this type of opportunity would be ideal for those stay at home moms, housewives, and even retirees. You can make your own schedule and choose your own clients. So how about it?
If you would like to learn more then you should check out “Untapped Wealth Discovered” by Jeff Marquis and Kerry Harrison. This book contains lots of ideas for transcription opportunities. If you’re interested in setting up a transcription or translation company then visit http://www.utranslate4me.com/ and there you will find some helpful hints to get you started.

A new approach to interviewing

Hello, I’m Alex from the Untapped Wealth business desk and I wanted to share this little tit bit with you.

According to ABC news, a recent survey in the U.S revealed that some companies are now adopting a new way of interviewing perspective employees when it comes to hiring for middle and senior positions. What they are doing now is bypassing the good old resume and using an informal way of interviewing when it comes to hiring for middle and senior positions. They invite the perspective employee to join them at informal events such as a day on the golf course, an afternoon of tennis, a beach picnic, or something similar and they use these events to get to know their perspective hirees.

Several hiring managers are telling us that they are able to learn more about the person when it comes to their work habits, likes and dislikes, and other important need to knows but more important the informal atmosphere helps to relax the interviewee and managers are better able to find out more in this way. Managers are saying that interviewees clam up more when they are placed in a formal interview but when they are put into a relaxed environment they tend to open up more freely to their interviewer.

Just some food for thought. For more details visit www.marketwatch.com.

Beware of websites with “katrina” in their urls

Taken from www.marketwatch.com

Hi! I’m Brad and I’m just visiting the Untapped Wealth business desk and thought that I would pass on this little tip to you.

Since the demise of New Orleans on August 29, it is estimated that over 100 websites have sprung up on the Internet with the letters “katrina” as part of their Url. Most of these websites are passing themselves off as representing various charitable organizations and they are asking people to make online donations for the victims in New Orleans and Mississippi.

Please do not be taken in by these websites. They are false and their owners are only interested in scamming you out of your hard earned money. Be careful which online websites you decide to make donations to. Check them out before you do this. Do not give out your credit card number, your account number, banking details, or any other relevant information. Above all, don’t give out your social security number.

There are too many scam artistes out there who are just waiting to pounce on unsuspecting and helpless victims and too many identity thieves who are only too happy to seize your information and use it to make your life miserable.

If you would like to send us any comments then please do so and we would be delighted to respond. sBusiness ideas for your kids?

Hi! I’m Matt from the Untapped Wealth business desk and I wanted to plant a little bug in the ears of both parents and kids.

It appears that there is a growing trend these days across America for our kids to get more involved in some very lucrative opportunities with some very well known establishments. Gone are the days for limiting our kids to lemonade stands because it seems that now companies such as Schneider’s, KFC, Disney, Toys or Us, Kellogg, several video games companies, and many more are on the hunt for those kids who can help them to develop and sell products. For who else better to ask than those who are going to demand them the most? Who else better to target than those who will be demanding for their parents to buy them? I applaud the Schneider company for bringing their new “Smart lunch line” to the supermarkets.

Come on kids! Time for you to get your parents moving on helping you to discover these types of opportunities. For more info on this topic you may read the free online July issue of the STAE magazine at www.sterlingcreations.ca/magazine.html.

Potential opportunities for financial planners?

If you are a financial planner then this article may be for you. If you’re not convinced after reading it then you should pick up a copy of the book “Untapped Wealth Discovered” by Jeff N Marquis and Kerry J Harrison and there you’ll find additional facts in support of this article.

Licence to help retirees

Speaking at the Million Dollar Round Table, Court of the Table Session, in New Orleans last Sunday, foremost US authority on lifestyle, Ken Dychtwald, referred to the longevity patterns that have emerged in modern society as the “age wave.”

He developed a “new adulthood” construct showing how the number of years spent in retirement have increased dramatically.

His statistics show that currently, adults spend some 20 to 25 years in retirement; that 22 per cent of them are almost broke, and 32 per cent of them are actually low net worth individuals; and that 40 per cent all retirees are financially involved in caring for aged parents.

He urged financial advisers to focus on that age group, since they are most in need of help, saying that our job is “to help people envision dreams and see to it that the dreams are funded.”
He cited that 70 per cent of the US population die without a will, so they die without leaving behind a family legacy. But, perhaps the most significant statistic was that the 54 per cent who are broke or almost broke were headed in that direction from the age of 30 years.

He said that those who seek out a good financial adviser are likely to end up two-and-one-half times wealthier than those who did not!

Dychtwald made the point that 42 per cent of all retirees needed a “new blend of work and pleasure,” simply because they now have more time in their retirement years.

He said that 74 per cent of the US population is likely to be in the 55-64 age group within a few short years, and that would climb to an alarming 53 per cent of US population over the age of 65 in a few more years.
